For CAD-cut work, ideally the artwork should be in vector format in Corel Draw. Other formats are acceptable but may incur a set-up charge.
Q: Can I provide my own artwork?
A: Yes. We can ‘meet’ you at any stage of your project; developing your requirement from basic notes, from a part-finished situation or completed artwork. If you are planning a comprehensive print project, where you will need to put in a lot of preparatory work, please contact us to discuss your ideas to ensure that we can turn them easily and cost effectively into the finished solution. It is saddening to inform a potential client that all their efforts are in vain when a little early guidance would have achieved the objective. Please see FAQs on Microsoft product files and Design quality.
Q: Can I send Microsoft product files?
A: These are not ideal as the output can vary between differing computer systems. We will normally accept these but may ask for a printed copy for layout purposes. We reserve the right to charge a resetting fee should the file be unworkable. You will be informed of any additional charge prior to commencement of work.
Q: What quality of design is best?
A: Ideally, the better the resolution, (higher dpi) the better the printed solution. Pictures of 200-300 dpi at the output size are acceptable; any less and the final image quality reduces. Images taken from internet web pages are not normally suitable, especially if they need to be enlarged.
Q: What colours can I use in my design?
A: If company colours are ‘pantone’ then we can match these on request for screen printing. We stock a wide range of thread colours and will match to the nearest available.
Q: Are the garment colours on my screen accurate?
A: The garment colours shown or printed from the website are only approximate. If you need accurate colours then please contact us for a garment sample. A charge will be made for this service.
